Robert T. Karns
Robert T. Karns graduated from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts in 1974 and opened his own practice in 1974. He is a member of the Rhode Island, Massachusetts and D.C. Bars. He has been admitted to the United States Supreme Court, First Circuit of Appeals and the Federal District Courts for Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Robert has been a member of AAJ (American Association for Justice) since 1974. He is on the Executive Committee of the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group and served as Chairman of the group from 2006 to 2007. He is a member of the Motor Vehicle Collision Highway & Premises Liability Section. He also served on the Executive Committee for the Interstate Trucking Litigation Group and continues to be a member.
Robert is on the Board of Governors of the Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Association. He is on the Advisory Board of the Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island and served on the Board of Directors for five years. He is also a member of the North American Brain Injury Society and Brain Injury Association of America.
Robert practices personal injury law on a contingency fee basis and there is no fee unless successful. He has 37 years of legal experience and has designated many hours to research especially in the area of traumatic brain injury. Robert has a very successful record in getting great results for his injured clients in multiple areas of personal injury cases with different types of injuries including traumatic brain injury.
Robert is a frequent speaker at many State Bar Associations, National Trial Associations and State and National Brain Injury Associations.
When Robert is not working he enjoys working out and the company of his four canine friends, children and two beautiful grandchildren.
Sarah Karns Burman
Originally from Taunton, Massachusetts, Sarah Karns Burman completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami in 1999. After a year abroad teaching in Germany she received her law training at the University of Miami School of Law earning her Juris Doctor Degree in 2003.
Sarah is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. She is a member of the Board for the Rhode Island Association for Justice (RIAJ), a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), a member of the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group and a member of the Newport County Bar Association. Her area of practice is personal injury.
When not working, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and meeting new people.
Joshua Karns
Joshua Karns, a graduate of the Tulane University School of Law has been practicing law since 2004. He is a member of the Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Oregon Bar Associations.
Joshua’s practice focuses on civil litigation and bankruptcy. He represents people throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts who have been injured as a result of the negligence of others.
Joshua has extensive experience helping people file for personal Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
He volunteers his time to provide pro bono legal assistance to low income individuals as a member of the Rhode Island Volunteer Lawyer Program
When not practicing law Joshua enjoys hiking, skiing and traveling in New England.
Jude Evan Kerrison 
Born in Limerick, Ireland, Jude E. Kerrison, Esq. graduated from Boston College in 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. He later attended Roger Williams University Law School where he received his law degree in 2008, in the process earning a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Excellent Achievement in the Study of Law and Medicine.
Jude is a member of the Rhode Island and Massachusetts Bars as well as admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. Jude is also a member of the Rhode Island Association for Justice (RIAJ), the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the Newport County Bar Association, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. His practice areas include Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury on a contingency fee basis (No fee unless successful).
Jude has served as a Volunteer Performance Judge for the Rhode Island Legal/Education Partnership Mock Trial Tournament. In his personal time, Jude enjoys spending time with his wife, son and three dogs. He also enjoys playing rugby and is the Captain of the Newport Rugby Club. He also volunteers with the Newport County YRFC’s Youth Rugby Program.
Rachel Karns Kerrison
Rachel Karns Kerrison was born and raised in Southern New England. She graduated cum laude from Boston Boston College in 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing. She later attended Roger Williams University Law School where she received her law degree in 2007.
Rachel is a member of the Rhode Island and Massachusetts Bars as well as admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. Rachel is also a member of the Rhode Island Association for Justice (RIAJ), the American Association for Justice (AAJ), and the Newport County Bar Association. Her practice areas include Social Security and Personal Injury on a contingency fee basis (No fee unless successful).
In her personal time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, son and three dogs.
