Cell Phone Use By Truck Drivers

Under the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules tractor trailer drivers can no longer use cell phones while operating their vehicles. When involved in a tractor trailer collision, it is often beneficial to obtain all of the truck driver's cell phone records to determine if he violated any FMCSA regulations by using his cell phone while driving. The use of a cell phone by a truck driver while operating a tractor trailer, in some cases, can be the main cause of the collision.

Workers that are injured at work must make certain that they obtain all of the benefits that they are due under the Workers' Compensation Act. In Rhode Island and Massachusetts there are courts that just deal with workers' compensation benefits. In Rhode Island, the court is the Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Court and in Massachusetts, the court is the Department of Industrial Accidents.
